Etude des variantes de barrage de l'oued de Berkeche et ses ouvrages annexes (w. Ain Temouchent)

Abstract

This work presents a detailed study of a dam on the Berkeche river in the wilaya of ain temouchent, intended to irrigate about 500 hectares of agricultural land. We started this work by the topographic, geological and geotechnical study to assess the feasibility of the site. The hydrological study allowed us to calculate the flood flow, which is estimated at 289.11 m3/s for a return period of 1000 years. We also quantified the stored water volume, which is 2.349 hm3, and the laminar flow, which is 100.59 m3/s. The projected dam is of homogeneous earth type, with a height of 45.1 m. The spillway is of USBR type, with a width of 40 m and a height of 3 m. We completed our study by the organization of the site, which ensures the smooth running of the works, as well as a quantitative and financial estimate of our project.
