In arid and semiarid regions like Setif, transfers of water between hydrographic basins are not always just a choice, but rather a necessity. This dissertation concerns the West transfer system between the Ighil Emda Dam (Kherrata) and the dam under construction in Mahouane (wilaya of Setif) of a transferred volume of 119 million m3per year. Firstly, we will proceed to the choice of alternatives before proceeding to the design of pipes. The technical-economic study will identify the most appropriate alternative. Finally, we will complete the design of the transfer by pumping stations and we will secure facilities through the analysis of water hammeren_US
