Exceeding pressure and its variation in the water distribution networks is a real problem. The latter can be overcome through initiating a pressure regulation program on the distribution networks. This project tries to describe a methodology that could be followed to implement a pressure regulation program on a given network. In parallel, an attempt is made to apply this methodology on a real case study. Starting with the creation of a hydraulic model as representative as possible on the basis of the network layout under a GIS (Geographic Information System) software; this is followed by an analysis of the network’s behaviour. After that, we try to project pressure regulating valves (PRVs) to regulate the exceeding pressure on the network; another simulation is carried out to see the impact of the PRVs on the pressure suffered by the studied network.en_US
