Renforcement de l'AEP de la ville de Bouzguen à partir du champ de captage d'Oued Boubhir (w. Tizi Ouzou)

Abstract

The present work tries to study the project of strengthening the water supply system in the township of Bouzguene, from the catchment area of oued Boubhir. This region suffers from scarcity in drinking water which is caused mainly by the lack of water resources in the territory. Our estimations are based on the assessment of the region’s needs until 2049. After the presentation of the study area, we estimated how much water quantities were needed by all types of consumers and we calculated the dimensions of the tanks of drinking water. After that, we calculated the economic diameter of the water main pipes. Pumps have been selected so they can be used in elevating water to different tanks. In order to protect the pipes from the water hammer phenomenon, an air chamber was calculated.
