Abstract: This thesis aims to study the strengthening of the drinking water supply system of the town of Ain Boucif by 2050, which has experienced very significant demographic and urban growth, this has led problems of insufficient water resources used to meet the growing demand. To reach this objective, we followed several processes, first we presented the study area, then we proceeded to estimate the water needs which revealed a deficit of more than 12000 m3 / d which should be provided from a tapping on the pipe from the Birine wellfield (W.DJELFA). Then a technical-economic study was made for two variants to ensure an optimal design. In addition, the hydraulic parameters of the pumping stations were determined, and in order to protect the pipes and all the discharge equipment against the phenomenon of water hammer, two air tanks were provided for the two pumping stations, to finally establish a methodology for implementing the project and the means deployed to guarantee the proper execution of the project.
