Abstract: The new urban pole (pole of excellence) at the western entrance to the city of Tizi Ouzou needs to be supplied with drinking water for its various consumers. After presenting our study area and estimating its drinking water needs, we moved on to the design study of a drinking water supply system. We also carried out a study of a pumping station, which allows water to be pumped to the storage tank through the discharge line. Then, we study and define a method among the methods of protection of discharge pipes against the "water hammer" phenomenon. Finally, we will discuss the methodology for implementing the project and the various means deployed for its execution.
