In Algeria, water treatment is done by conventional proceed generally by activated sludge; these latter do not take in charge elimination of metallic pollutant. So that, in the exit of station, purified water vehicle a considerable quality of trace metallic element. For an optimal re-use of this water without health and environmental risk, a tertiary treatment is essential. This treatment can be ensured by biotechnological processes based on the ability possessed by some micro-organisms to accumulate the metal cations, which constitute an alternative to the expensive and complex physic-chemical processes. This thesis constitutes a bibliographical study relating to the various techniques of bioaccumulation of these micro-organisms.en_US
