The repartition of wastewater and storm water between WWTP and the natural environment is performed using CSO (combined sewer overflow); The latter is intended to protect the receiving environment and the city against floods. The CSO are designed and operated with forms and under very different ways. Given the diversity of latter, the used formulas are various. In this study we presented the different types of CSO used in sewer network and developed a synthesis flow laws, Then we studied their operation and hydraulic diagnosis by a deterministic model of solving the equations of Barrée Saint-Venant and equation of Hager, using two softwares (SWMM and caldo). Finally we investigate the CSO operating problems such as sedimentation.en_US
