The Determination of the position of the hydraulic jump is very important; indeed it enables us to ensure the length of the protection required for the bottom and the downstream banks of a dam. It's in this context that fits this study which was divided into two large sections, a theoretical part which defined the phenomenon and cited some previous work on the subject, and a second experimental and comparative part in wich we compared between rectangular and triangulaire forme and conclueded some positives and negatives of each forme .en_US
