Abstract: The management of stormwater in urban areas is increasingly oriented towards adopting a strategy of low-impact developments, and better practices in the management and design of sustainable drainage systems in order to control the outcome of urban growth, where stormwater is controlled at the source by retention, infiltration, storage and runoff delaying. These methods include structural measures, such as, infiltration and retention trenches, infiltration pits, and permeable pavement.
