In this thesis we propose a large-scale technology for the treatment of wastewater in small and medium-sized towns, where intensive treatments are largely not recommended for technical and economic reasons. This work suggested purification based on Reeds beds for this type of communities. We started with a bibliographic study on wastewater treatment techniques, and then we focused on this technology in terms of design and sizing so that we could finally design a wastewater treatment plant for the domestic sewage of the agglomeration of ‘Béni Yaqoub’ (Municipality of Oued Lakhdar, Tlemcen) for the horizons of 2030, in order to purify the water before it is discharged into Oued Lakhdar (Oued Chouly). Eventually, we prepared a quantitative estimation of our study.en_US
