Abstract

Stormwater storage is one of the processes of conveying, and collecting, stormwater for different uses. Rainwater harvesting methods can be easily implemented at home, government, and community level. The uses of rainwater include several areas, therefore the water is intended for consumption (drinking water) or for flushing the toilet, it must be treated in accordance with regulations. Treatment methods include, but are not limited to, filtration of debris and various purification processes. This research explains how to collect, store for direct use at household level. It is a practical manual for sizing a rainwater infrastructure, from design to implementation. At the end of this thesis, we took the city of Ain Kechera as a practical example to study; we designed a rainwater retention basin to be implanted within the network.
