Abstract

During storms, many hydraulic anomalies occur, such as the clogging of the networks, the overloading of the wastewater treatment plants which influences its functioning and also on the quality of the water discharged to the natural environment. Weirs and storm water basins are the solutions used to regulate the flow of the sewage treatment plant and ensure the proper functioning of the sewerage system and the protection of the ecosystems. In this study, we have done a bibliographical research on the evolution of the sewerage system, then we have introduced the different structures, their notion, types and dimensioning, then we have given an overview on the different connection schemes between sewerage network, weir and storm water basin. At the end we have applied these schemes on an agglomeration, and we chose the best one.
