Les bassins de Rétention

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the history of rainwater management and the role of retention basins in exploiting precipitations and protecting against its dangers, while citing the types of these structures and their methods of sizing. To reach this goal we conducted a bibliography research of multiple articles, books and guides to give a simple typology of different basins, their functions and roles and methods of sizing. To conclude we applied one of the methods on a study zone of a dissertation under the name “design of a sanitation system for the village of Slamnia (W. Ain Defla)”.
