Abstract: | Transients characterized by wave propagation after a transient caused , are considered a major problem in the field of supported flows. In practice, the type of branched networks converge or diverge supply systems are widespread and the phenomenon of water hammer is difficult to control . This difficulty results from the very many and varied characteristics of the lines forming the network discharge , especially if the network is buried . the damage incurred as a result of water hammer can be significant leading to bursts pipes . The engineer manager is faced with a suitable choice of anti rams means. In our work, we focus on the study of water hammer in a weakly ramified network of rank "2" while studying its physical behavior under the influence of branching node . This case was compared to the simple case of driving without a branch . The method used is that of the characteristics that determines the hammer in the flow line while considering the information provided by the ends of the pipes leading to the compute node . The results obtained show that the hammer is mitigated by the node branching despite the influence of pressure waves from small diameter pipes . This work is of primary interest for the design of anti rams used for the protection of branched networks. |
