Abstract: Algeria has made important efforts to deal with its water stress. Although in water infrastructure achievements have been significant in recent years, Algeria is still insufficiently endowed with water resources. Satisfaction with marketable volumes may not be long-term guarantee, taking account of climatic conditions and weakness in protecting both surface and groundwater resources. The forecast water demand used to estimate future consumption while protecting these resources, and to design the water infrastructure. Any fault forecasting cause overexploitation of financial constraints. This is precisely why we dedicated the issue of this work to the contribution of the forecast water demand. It is by that to determine a reliable forecast model that meets the needs of the population with drinking water and economic sectors while taking into account the savings imposed by the limitations of this resource and the need for its preservation.
