Constantine, a city in the east of Algeria, is considered the capital of region, is often considered as its economic heart due its demographic and economic dynamism. But this city still encounters many troubles through its public services in which water distribution remains a key sector. This work's main objective is to show that GIS can be a serious option to consider in coping with water distribution problems. To reach this objective, a database and a numeric map of the network have been created. Compulsory data have been identified and integrated to the GIS. The results show the efficiency of the database in handling data manipulation including input and output of data on user-request. Numeric maps have provided a better and easier way to locate water distribution network features and also highlighted areas that needed more attention. The results demonstrate ability of GIS to handle and facilitate management of water distribution network. This research can also serve as reference for further work on GIS and water distribution network.en_US
