dc.description.abstractThe world has recently known a climate change which is caused by many factors natural, geographic, industrial, etc. This has had a direct impact on the amount of precipitation in the world in general and in Algeria in particular. Thus, there has been a decline in rainfall which has reduced the levels of surface water and underground water. This is why knowledge about climatic factors and the study of their effects on water resources is deemed very necessary for a better management of such cases. The present study seeks to show the extent to which this climate change and more particularly rainfall is affecting the region of Sbao in Tizi Ouzou. To reach this objective, a rainfall index is used which is liable to show the change in the climate and the alternation between ordinary wet phases and dry phases.en_US
