Utilisation des systèmes d’information géographiques dans l’étude des écoulements superficiels (cas du bassin du Sebaou)

Abstract

Floods in Algeria are now defined as a frequent natural phenomenon causing considerable material and human damage. The present work consists in studying the floods generated by the surface flows at the level of the Sébaou using the GIS which constitute tools witch help in taking Decision, optimizing the monitoring and management of this problem in addition to the studies and measures developed on the ground. This combination of geo-spatial and thematic data allows a mapping at different scales of the zones at risk of flooding in this area .
