| Abstract: | To face water shortages, the Algerian state must envisage solutions, in order to
mobilize great quantity of water. It is for that the ANBT has the role to study and
construct of dams and retaining hill. This present work is a study of the additional works
of the dam in the wilaya of Souk-Ahras. To contribute to the execution of these works, a
more thorough study is essential, such as the topographic, geological, hydrogeological
study, and that to determine the most adequate types thus to check their stability. This
