dc.description.abstractThe present work is a contribution to the study of the break wave of the dam in the region of strong earthquake activity. Actually there exist no technical norms relative to the public security in case of dam break except the Algerian Para seismic regulation. HARREZA dam situated in Ain defla is constitutes a suitable instructions which deals with verification accumulation of the dam break wave. This procedure allows clearing a particular intervention plan (PPI) which is a necessary tool to set the optimal security conditions. In fact, the one-dimensional and bi-dimensional study of the break wave propagation which allows the determination of the characteristics points downstream, the dam has been realized with MIKE11, MIKE21 software developed by the D.H.I. The calculation results have allow to establish the cartographic supports indicating the flooding zones as well as limitsen_US
