dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to protect the town of Attatba, located in the wilaya of Tipaza, from flooding by identifying the areas at risk due to overflows from the watercourses running through the town, notably “Abed”, “Champs Plein” and the two smaller tributaries.On this context, a hydrological study of the various watersheds was conducted using the HEC-HMS model, followed by a hydrodynamic simulation. An in-depth analysis of flood hazards, an assessment of stakes and vulnerability, and the determination of flood-prone areas were carried out using hydraulic simulation tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-GEO, and HEC-RAS. Based on a technical-economic and ecological study, a mixed solution was proposed, combining a gabion channel, concrete, and buried conduits. This solution also includes financial estimates and the organization of the construction site.en_US
