Etude d'amenagement du cours d'eau de Oued El Had de la ville nouvelle de Bouinane

Abstract

The main objective of this project is to determine the necessary dimensions of a hydraulic infrastructure system to protect the Oued el Had area from centennial floods that threaten the municipality of Bouinane. This study aims to ensure the safety of both property and residents. To achieve this, several key steps were followed. First, a detailed presentation of the area in question was conducted. Then, geological and geotechnical studies were carried out to assess the soil characteristics. Subsequently, a hydrological analysis was conducted to examine rainfall and evaluate flow rates. Finally, an in-depth hydraulic study using HEC-RAS software was performed to delineate flood-prone areas and assess flood risks. During this study, various development options were considered, and one variant was selected for detailed analysis.
