Abstract

Remote of control in the field of drinking water supply is an ideal or even imperative solution for operation due to the geographical dispersion of water structures. By remote of control, the notion of distance is absurd because the need to move to the premises of the equipment for the purposes of operation or maintenance does not appear. In this experimental work, we carried out a SCADA which has the specificity of use of the Internet network instead of conventional dedicated networks, i.e. communication between the main terminal and the remote terminals is established via the Internet network. The choice of the Internet network significantly reduces the cost of a very distant application but in return it affects the reliability of the system, two important aspects to study the security and the response time. It is obvious that the response time increases, this is due to the traffic of the Internet network and to the very structure of the latter. The idea of control industrial systems using Web technologies is recent, our work will attempt to offer a certain contribution to the development of this field.
