Abstract

In Algeria, the increasing water stress, exacerbated by urbanization and overpopulation, has led authorities to develop infrastructure for treating urban wastewater. This project focuses on the performance evaluation of the Sidi Aich wastewater treatment plant. The main objective is to determine whether the water treated by this plant can be used for irrigating the adjacent agricultural areas, particularly around the Sidi Aich district, especially in Remila. This initiative aims to meet the water needs of the agricultural sector while preserving the natural environment and optimizing the use of available water resources
