Algeria, facing increasing water challenges, relies on desalination to meet the demand for potable water. This thesis explores the optimization of post-treatment for desalinated water, focusing on remineralization using calcite and dolomite. A detailed analysis of the EL TARF desalination plant is conducted to assess the treatment methods. The core of the study is centered on the sizing of the calcite bed and a techno-economic comparison with dolomite. The goal is to identify the best approach to ensure water quality while controlling costs.en_US
