The aim of this study is to design a wastewater treatment plant for the commune of Babar, in order to treat the pollution of the Oued El Arab and remedy the water shortage in the region. The method adopted includes a thorough analysis of the characteristics of the polluted water and the application of activated sludge and UV disinfection as treatment techniques. Results show that this approach improves water quality, protects the environment, and enables treated water to be reused for agriculture, thus reducing pressure on water resourcesen_US
