In Algeria, increased water discharge into rivers is significantly impacting public health and causing substantial pollution, particularly in Thenia, Boumerdes province, where the wastewater treatment plant handles minimal incoming water volume. Consequently, there are plans to resize this plant. This thesis outlines the design of a medium-load activated sludge wastewater treatment plant across two phases. By 2039, it aims to treat wastewater equivalent to 48154 population units. By 2054, the plant's capacity will expand to handle 60488 population units. The treated water will be utilized to irrigate 80, 28 hectares, with a specific maximum flow rate of 0.98l/s/haen_US
