Restructuration du reseau d'AEP de la commune de Bordj El kiffan Ouest (w. Alger)

Abstract

This work involves conducting a restructuring study of the potable water supply network in the commune of Bordj El Kiffan Ouest, Wilaya of Algiers. This entails identifying the failures in the distribution system, including the storage facilities, and verifying whether the existing network can carry the necessary flow rates for the study horizon of 2054. Since the system is unable to meet the needs projected for 2054, our objective is to conduct a restructuring study of the network and provide recommendations to improve the potable water supply in the commune. These recommendations include resizing the network in areas currently uncovered, renovating the distribution network (specifically the Ductile Iron pipes), and implementing a sectorization system to ensure future water demand is met, both in terms of flow and pressure. Also, a focus is made on the placement of accessories and measuring devices. Furthermore, we propose the construction of a semi-buried reservoir with a capacity of 1500 m³ to meet future needs. Finally, we have outlined the methodology for laying the pipelines, the organization of the construction site, and estimated the project cost for this study.
