Diagnostic et réhabilitation du réseau d'alimentation en eau potable de la ville d'Oued Fodda (W. Chlef)

Abstract

The aim of our study is to establish a diagnosis of the drinking water supply network in the city of Oued Fodda, located in the wilaya of Chlef. This study provides an overview of the current situation of water resources, the network, and the various storage structures. Then, we proceeded to estimate the water needs of the population by 2054. The diagnosis results showed that the main causes of failures in the network are water shortages in several areas and significant leaks, revealed by numerous interventions on the network, leading to reduced pressure at key points and increased flow velocity. In the rehabilitation phase, we renewed all the pipes except for the HDPE ones, which were in poor condition. We also added pipes to strengthen the network and ensure water reaches critical points. Additionally, we discussed project management aspects such as earthwork volumes, project planning, cost estimation, and ensuring proper execution of the project works.
