Algeria is experiencing a significant increase in the quantity of sewage water as a result of population growth and urbanization, which requires effective solutions, especially given the scarcity of water resources. This project aims at the construction of a sewage treatment plant for the municipality of Chechar, located in the southeastern province of Khenchela, Algeria, with a current population estimated at 34.143, and a population growth rate of 1.3% per annum, expected to reach 50.302 by 2050. The project focuses on the treatment of wastewater to protect the environment in particular and local water sources, while studying the possibility of reuse in agriculture. This step could contribute to improving agricultural production in terms of both quality and quantity, while also ensuring the sustainability of water resources.en_US
