This thesis tackles the challenges posed by salt accumulation and increasing salinity levels in the palm groves of Mekhadma, a desert region in the Sahara. The project envisions the implementation of an effective drainage system to remove excess water from the soil, thereby enabling agricultural development over an area of 200 hectares. This initiative aims to enhance water resource management, reduce soil salinity, and revive terraced farming practices that were previously abandoned due to salinity issues, all with the overarching goal of fostering sustainable development in the regionen_US
