dc.description.abstractThe Oualla study area in Teffessour, Sidi Bel Abbes faces significant sanitation challenges, including an aging and inadequate sewer system unable to effectively handle stormwater drainage, leading to frequent overflows, as well as the direct, untreated discharge of domestic wastewater into the nearby wadi, causing severe envirONM-2024ental damage and public health risks. The main objectives of the study are to conduct a comprehensive physical and hydraulic diagnosis of the existing sewer system to identify functional and problematic segments, and to explore the development of a dedicated wastewater treatment system to eliminate the direct discharge into the wadi, thereby mitigating the environmental and public health consequenceen_US
