The main sewerage network in some of the regions in the west of Algiers: Ben Aknoun, EL Achour, Bouzereah, Delly Brahim, and AIN ALLAH is outdated, though it has undergone several extensions and renovations, yet many problems still occur.Thisis becoming a major risk threatening both public health and the environment safety. Our study aims to improve the functioning of the wastewater system, including municipal wastewater, rainwater and the infiltration clearwater in order to satisfy today’s needs of the citizens and to protect the public health; thus ensuringthe safety of the city and protecting the environment. In order to achieve thesegoals, and based on the preliminary basic data, our work consists in elaborating a physical and a hydraulic diagnosis of the wastewater networkin order to highlight the behavior of the network, where several negative slopes and undersized pipes were detected. This led us to suggestthe right solutionsregarding the management and rearrangement of the water evacuation system.en_US
