dc.description.abstractSoummam river is among the overflowing rivers in Algeria. This causes considerable material damage to individuals and the state as well as human lives on several occasions. Our study deals with river layout mainly the part most often affected by the overflows in order to avoid the damage in the latter which covers Oued Ghir and Tala Hamza and Béjaia municipalities. The study is divided into two main parts; the first is devoted to the study of the designated area with a brief overview of the basic notions of river layout, while the second one treats the soummam layout itself. In the end, after technical-economic study, the choice was made on the variant gabionnage as it presents the best profile according to the technical and economic criteria.en_US
