Abstract

Within the framework of the national strategy aimed at preserving water resource, the Algerian state works to store the largest quantity of water. Therefore, the National Agency for dams and transfers studies and builds the largest possible number of dams and small dams. This document represents the study of the ancillary works of the dam of Branis in the wilaya of Biskra. After the feasibility study, a hydrological part was made. Subsequently, variants were proposed for the spillway (frontal to lateral and siphon) before choosing the most suitable from the technical and economical point of view. And to ensure the stability of this work a study of civil engineering was made.
