The mouth of Oued El Hamiz, which is located in the commune of Bordj El Bahri, is subject to silting up caused by hydrodynamic effects, causing a risk of flooding in the region. The main goal of our study is therefore to develop the mouth with a diking system in order to deal with this phenomenon and protect people from its consequences. The processing of offshore swell and bathymetry data by the Mike 21 software package made it possible to obtain the characteristics of the swell at the coast and therefore to design and size two variants, the first consisting of two groynes of 323 m each and the second of two groynes of 280 m each. Based on technical and economic criteria, it emerges that the first development variant is the most adequate.en_US
