Etude de protection contre les inondations du centre de la ville de Honaine (w. Tlemcen)

Abstract

Honaine is located in the northwest of Algeria city of Tlemcen, this town threatened by floods resulting from the annual torrential rains, plus the wadis passing through the center of the city such as oued Honaine and oued Menzel, which have always caused various material losses. That is why this phenomenon represents a great danger for the region and their inhabitants. For this reason, we have dealt with proposing a system of landscaping of the rivers through numerous studies, including the hydrological study using ArcGIS software in order to determine the source of flow and its transfer to the outlet, analysis of flow precipitation. The hydraulic study for the simulation using Hec-Ras program. Through our work, we discussed different solutions and chose the most technical and economic appropriate solution to ensure flood protection in the center of Honaine
