As part of the operation to develop the hydro-agricultural perimeter of the Mitidja Center region, we have studied the size of the irrigation perimeter of the Douera 21 sub-sector, which is fed from the Douera dam. The area surveyed covers an area of 985 ha, with an irrigation network for tree growing. These crops were selected in relation to the soil characteristics and the different agronomic parameters of the region. The objective is to bring the necessary irrigation water to the land in order to increase the agricultural yield, through better management and use of water resources; and this through the adoption of a modern irrigation system which has imposed its reliability, namely: localized irrigation. This technique has many advantages, such as water efficiency and high yields..en_US
