Abstract

Dams are considered the largest reservoirs of water used in various fields (agricultural development, irrigation).We conducted a thorough study of the construction of OURKISS dam on the river of El Kebir at the town AIN FEKROUNE in the city of OUM El BOUAGHI, which aims to provide water for irrigation of agricultural lands and drinking water. After a detailed study of all aspects (geological, hydrological and topographical), we opted for the most appropriate variant for the dam and appropriate structures ensuring their stability.
