Abstract: The WWTP of Beni Mered treats domestic effluents from the Blida region using an activated sludge process. The physico-chemical and bacteriological results obtained revealed that the raw wastewater entering the WWTP presents a rather high organic, nitrogenous, phosphorus and bacteriological pollution. The comparison of the analytical results of the treated wastewater of the WWTP with the irrigation standards of the WHO and of JORA showed that these waters present some anomalies, in particular concerning the removal of micro-organisms and phosphorus pollution. The purpose of this thesis is to propose viable solutions and strategies to exploit treated wastewater in irrigation.
