dc.description.abstractAlgeria is frequently exposed to significant rainfall events that can generate floods causing serious damages on many levels. The main objective of this study is protection of the municipality of Hennaya "w. Tlemcen" against flooding, by identifying the high-risk zones following the overflows of Galian river crossing the town of Hennaya. as part of this study, we have elaborated a hydrological model for the watershed using the US Corps of engineers HEC-HMS model, followed by a hydrodynamic simulation using the HEC-RAS software, and the creation of a floodplain map of Galian river. Finally, a description of the proposed development variants in order to be able to choose the most suitable variant from a technical and economic point of view.en_US
