In Algeria, the volume of water discharged into wadis is increasing, which has had serious repercussions on the health of citizens and has resulted in a pollution phenomenon. This is the case in the municipality of Bejaia, which treats a very low incoming flow capacity. For this reason, it has been decided to design the Bejaia wastewater treatment plant (STEP) for improved efficiency and to utilize the treated water in industry and firefighting.en_US
