Abstract: This work aims to study the purification performance of the Chenoua wastewater treatment plant in the Tipaza province by verifying the quality of the treated wastewater between the inlet and outlet of the plant. This is done by monitoring the performance of each treatment stage and checking the operational parameters of each facility over the past two years. Some pollutant loads have exceeded the standard limits, such as ammoniacal nitrogen and total nitrogen, during the study period, and due to the presence of bacteria in the treated wastewater from the plant, it is impossible to reuse them for irrigation. In conclusion, some solutions have been proposed to improve the biological treatment process and the quality of the treated water in order to enable their reuse for agricultural purposes.
