The Algerian state has taken significant measures to protect the environment through its policy of encouraging investment in the environmental protection sector. These measures include the construction of numerous wastewater treatment plants to treat polluted water. In our project, we designed a wastewater treatment plant for the city of Mansoura to protect the receiving environment from pollution, which is the Mehair River. In addition, the treated water can be reused to irrigate certain crops in the area or to wash stones extracted from quarries near the plant site.en_US
