dc.description.abstractFaced to the fragility of Algerian food security, the development of irrigation is one of the main tools that will respond to the challenges of climate change in order to ensure food security. This thesis aims to achieve a hydro-agricultural development of Sector 3 of the Setif plain (1753.7 ha) fed from the Mahouane dam. This study transformed the biennial agrarian system (cereals – fallow), into a polyculture system, in order to increase the rate of land use. In addition, a water conveyance and distribution network was designed, and the plots were equipped with modern irrigation systems such as the sprinkler system and drip, with the aim of conserving water and increasing crop yield.en_US
