Aménagement hydro-agricole des plaines sétifiennes (secteur 4) a partir du barrage de Mahouane (w Sétif)

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop the hydro-agriculture of the Sétifian plains (sector 4) through an irrigation network to ensure the arrival of irrigation water from the Mahouane dam to the crops. For this, we have collected and analyzed the necessary data and the various factors and resources related to our study. After that, based on a pilot study, we have planned and sized an irrigation network that ensures the arrival of water with sufficient flow and pressure. Moreover, to guarantee an optimal use of water, we suggested the use of modern irrigation techniques which allow to have more yield and minimum water losses, all this with the lowest possible cost.
