Etude d"aménagement du cours d'eau de Oued Baghai de la wilaya de Khenchela

Abstract

The primary goal of this project is to determine the necessary dimensions for a hydraulic management system designed to protect Oued Boughegal area from centennial floods, impacting the municipality of Baghai. This study aims to ensure the safety of both property and residents. To achieve this, several critical steps were undertaken. Initially, a comprehensive overview of the area was provided. This was followed by a geological and geotechnical study to assess soil characteristics. Subsequently, a hydrological analysis was conducted to examine precipitation patterns and evaluate flow rates. Lastly, an extensive hydraulic study, utilizing HEC-RAS software, was performed to map flood-prone zones and assess flood risks. Throughout this study, various development options were considered, and a specific variant was chosen for detailed analysis.
