Etude du périmètre d'irrigation de Béni Slimane (Secteur 3) 251,87 HA, à partir du barrage de Béni Slimane (w. Medea)

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is the study of the hydro-agricultural development of sector 03 (251,87ha) of the Beni Slimane -Médéa- and fed from Beni Slimane dam. Facing an increasing water need of the Beni Slimane plain, the exploitation of Beni Slimane dam's water is urged. However, its water is characterised by high salinity. hence the need for leaching. This project is a part of the exploitation and management of water resources in order to create new irrigation areas in central Algeria, taking into consideration the analysis of climatic pedological and water resources characteristics. In this study, the focus was on improving crop vields by introducing modern irrigation techniques and optimising the irrigation water resource.
