dc.description.abstractThe work includes studies to protect the town of Oum El Bouaghi from flooding. For this reason, it is necessary to propose an effective layout to limit the damage. In this context, several axes were studied: detailed description of the territory to understand the generation of flows and their transfer to the outlet, analysis of maximum daily precipitation, determination of flows over 100 years, flood analysis using the HEC-RAS software. Hydraulic modelling of the river course was carried out to delineate the flood zones and describe the proposed development options. At the end of this work, the most technically and economically suitable variant was the hybrid variant. This variant consists of two types: gabions and reinforced concrete.en_US
